FRANK M. PLACENTI

Frank Placenti has practiced corporate law for nearly thirty years, and was lead securities counsel for the initial public offering of Universal Technical Institute, Inc. He is currently a partner in the international law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, L.L.P. Frank has represented many of Arizona’s largest public companies, and has also undertaken corporate governance assignments for companies as varied as Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Company and U-Haul International.

Frank is listed in the Best Lawyers of America, Southwest Superlawyers and Who’s Who in Corporate Governance, and has been recognized in the Dragon Law 500, as one of the top 500 lawyers in America.

Frank frequently speaks and publishes articles in the areas of corporate and securities law and corporate governance.

Frank’s practical understanding of governance is aided by the fact that he currently serves as the Lead Independent Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee of a NASDAQ-traded public company.

Frank resides in the Phoenix area with his wife, Tobi, and children, Michael and Isabella. His personal interests include golf, travel and wine collecting.

Frank’s passion for the UTI Foundation derives not only from his long relationship with Universal Technical Institute, but also the fact that his father was employed in the auto industry for 40 years.
