Universal Technical Institute Foundation and C and R Racing Group Establish Scholarship

PHOENIX, March 17, 2010 – C&R Racing Group wanted to give back to the industry it loves – and it brought some friends along to help. The motorsports component manufacturer, in partnership with the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation, today announced the $3,000 C&R Racing Brienne Davis Scholarship. The scholarship is designated for female students attending any one of UTI’s nine campuses that are interested in pursuing a motorsports career.

San Jose, Calif. Woman Awarded $10,000 Brienne Davis Scholarship to Attend Universal Technical Institute

PHOENIX, AZ (March 16, 2010) – Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation has awarded Jennifer LaFever of San Jose, Calif. a $10,000 Brienne Davis Scholarship to attend Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. The scholarship is part of the Brienne Davis Scholarship Fund – a scholarship program designed to help women gain the education they need to pursue careers in the automotive industry. Davis, a UTI alumnus who became a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series official, died tragically in 2008.

Universal Technical Institute Foundation Establishes Collegiate Housing Services Grant at NASCAR Tech

PHOENIX, March 10, 2010 – Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation today announced the creation of the Collegiate Housing Services, Inc. (CHS) grant to help deserving NASCAR Technical Institute (NASCAR TECH) students relieve the financial hardship related to housing costs that might jeopardize their ability to attend or to remain in school. The program, started by a $10,000 donation from CHS, offers students a one-time cash grant, not to exceed $800, towards housing expenses.

Universal Technical Institute Foundation Announces Knight Transportation Diesel Scholarship Program

PHOENIX, Feb. 23, 2010 – Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation today announced that Knight Transportation has established a scholarship program for students seeking degrees in UTI’s diesel industrial program at Avondale, Ariz., Glendale Heights, Ill., Houston, Texas and Sacramento, Calif. campuses. Three $2,500 grant-in-aid scholarships will be awarded annually to students who understand and exhibit the traits necessary to have a successful career in the diesel repair industry.

PHOENIX, Dec. 3, 2009 – Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation today announced Roger Penske has donated $25,000 toward the Brienne Davis Memorial Scholarship for one qualified female to attend UTI’s NASCAR Technical Institute, in Mooresville, N.C. The Penske award is part of the Brienne Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund for women pursuing careers in the automotive industry.
